The Modern Workplace is Still Evolving

People today look at work through an entirely different lens to how they did 5 years ago. Today’s work is more people centric, rather than based solely on output. Business leaders are tasked with the question: ‘How do we encourage our employees to innovate, collaborate and deliver results, giving them the tools to be productive, but with a work-life balance. This shift in mindset in the workplace is the biggest in a generation.

Organisations must navigate this change to retain talent, and ultimately be successful.

Your Aid for the Modern Workplace – Microsoft Surface

Microsoft Surface devices offer significant cost savings when compared to other competing hardware.

There are three ways that Microsoft Surface offer this significant cost saving:

1) Employees – Improve Productivity & Retain Talent

Surface devices enable organisations to overcome the business challenges they are presented with in the modern workplace – more is expected of people, but those people expect the right tools to deliver. Microsoft Surface devices offer the versatility to work where and how they need to work, enabling employees to focus on innovating and achieving their goals. Whilst the Surface devices have also proven benefits around talent retention, with 35% of organisations in an IDC survey connecting a higher employee retention with the use of Surface devices.

2) IT – Minimise Downtime & Reduce Support Costs

We see across Surface devices, that when teamed with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, the devices offer a deeper level of security, from chip to cloud. This increased level of security is not only easier for your IT team to manage – but reduces any potential downtime with cyber security issues.  When surveyed, 44% of companies highlighted that Surface devices improved their security profiles.

In addition, the management of Surface Devices through Microsoft Intune is simple straight from the outset. With out of the box, provisioned devices, users across the organisation can start collaborating from the time they first switch on their laptop.
IT managers can pre-provision devices through Intune and get visibility and status of Surface devices across their estate, all through the Intune portal – making the management of communications, easy.  All of this means the reduction of IT helpdesk support tickets, freeing up your IT team to spend time on IT innovation, and offering a better experience for your employees by making them productive from day 1. In an IDC report around this topic, 49% of organisations surveyed saw their helpdesk requests reduce.

3) Business Value – Uncover Time & Cost Savings for Innovation

Microsoft Surface offers device users a familiar look and feel through the Microsoft 365 suite, and a versatile device enabling a more productive and enhanced collaboration than with other devices available in the market. In the recent survey, organisations noted that this familiarity offered time savings which allowed the organisations to free up time for new revenue streams, with 35% reporting the generation of new revenue streams with Surface.

Microsoft Surface devices are also uniquely positioned in the market since they are built in collaboration with the Microsoft Software teams. This means that all Microsoft 365 software from Teams to Power BI and most recently Copilot 365, has all been envisioned, built and tested first on the Surface device family.

This unique position means that Microsoft 365 Software is always best experienced with Microsoft Surface. However, this unique positioning doesn’t mean that you’ll need to pay a premium for Microsoft Surface devices.
