Insight required a single digital platform to streamline internal communications, reduce the reliance on email and centralise content housing, all with a view to improve employee productivity.
Through integrating and adopting Insight Digital Workspace™, Insight is now able to offer its employees a single digital interface. They can now access content and collaboration tools quickly and effectively, as well as relevant and engaging content and news updates, while reducing the reliance on email communication.
As a Fortune 500 technology solutions provider, a large volume of data, content and information is circulated amongst Insight’s employees. Due to the current set of applications and communication methods used, employees were inundated with company information and updates. Additionally, multiple platforms and communication channels are used to access content sites as well as a high volume of information being shared through emails.
This overload of information resulted in news and key updates being lost in the ‘noise’. Moreover, sharing of information was limited to three individual contributors across all platforms, which also became a challenge if they were unavailable to post news and information.
Browsing multiple applications combined with several content sites started to impact employee productivity levels due to time spent finding the right information and applications to work from. Insight needed a much improved platform to support this knowledge sharing and enhance application access as well as reduce the reliance on email.
Reviewing the options available, Insight turned to the Insight Digital Workspace™ to improve their overall employee experience.
Easily integrated with Insight’s current IT environment, the solution combined all Office 365 applications into a single platform. Powered by Microsoft’s AI technology, the tool intelligently streamlined daily interactions with contextual awareness for a personalised experience.
The interface provides a dedicated area to share internal communication, which has helped to streamline communications and ensure key updates are not missed. Multiple communicators and content managers can share targeted updates, removing the reliance on individuals to share news and improving communication relevance and business transparency.
The Insight Digital Workspace™ provides a dedicated area to house employees’ key applications so users spend less time searching for the apps needed to complete their daily tasks. The Insight Digital Workspace™ gives instant access to Microsoft Teams and project files relevant to the user directly from the platform, providing most recent user activity and engagement.
Similarly, leveraging the power of SharePoint – the solution also enables centralisation of content sites through a single platform, providing users with the most up-to-date content in real-time.
Overall, the solution removes the heavy reliance on email and multiple content and communication platforms; employees can simply look at a single, personalised page.
Bringing this tool in-house has enabled seamless communication and collaboration within teams, and provided employees with a single interface to work from day-to-day. As a result, employees now have the content, information and applications they need to work efficiently, increasing productivity and teammate satisfaction.
